Three-dimensional floor plans are a new listing feature real estate agents specializing in luxury-home markets are using to showcase homes to potential buyers, according to the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. The Institute recently partnered with Sound Light and Motion (SLAM), an animation and multimedia company, and will feature SLAM's 3D floor plans on its Web site as the latest in listing technology. Three-dimensional floor plans enable real estate agents to convey to potential buyers a home's entire layout and allow buyers to comprehend scale, dimensions and features. SLAM's service allows users to upload some initial property information and a scanned image and receive a 3D floor plan within three days.
