Kathy Mayer Braddock, founder and partner with braddock + purcell, a New York company that specializes in advising and referring consumers to real estate brokers and service providers, has been active in New York City real estate for more than 20 years.

Prior to forming braddock + purcell, Braddock was executive managing director and general sales manager for Douglas Elliman. There she was responsible for oversight and supervision of the entire residential brokerage division of 14 managers and more than 900 real estate agents throughout New York City, as well as suburban offices in Connecticut, New Jersey and Long Island.

Before Douglas Elliman, Braddock was a principal in the Intrepid New Yorker, which she founded in 1982. The company handles relocation services for individuals and Fortune 100 and 500 corporations moving their executives and employees into the New York Tri-State area.

Braddock, a New York City native, has co-authored two books about living in New York and navigating daily life in this area. The most recent, “How to Live the Good Life in New York,” was published in 2000.

A co-op, 20 years ago.

St. Barts.

Starting my own business.

Raising my kids.
