Overnight real estate rates drop further

30-year dips to 5.1%; 10-year Treasury down at 3.98%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were lower Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield fell to 3.98 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average sank to 5.1 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate dipped to 4.68 percent. The 1-year adjustable fell to 3.6 percent.
