Drop in overnight real estate rates

30-year fixed rate down at 5.26%; 10-year Treasury down at 4.01%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were lower Wednesday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield dipped to 4.01 percent. The 30-year fixed-rate average fell to 5.26 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate sank to 4.86 percent. The 1-year adjustable was down at 3.85 percent. The 30-year Treasury bond yield fell to 4.25 percent. Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
