Matt Fagioli, operating broker at Diamond Dwellings Realty and co-founder of the Atlanta-area REtechSouth real estate technology conference, has joined Inman News as vice president of business development.

"Events, social media and other 2.0 stuff is my passion. I love marketing, brand development, the thrill of sales and the joy of helping people in the process," says Fagioli, who also worked to develop the first-ever New Media Atlanta Conference, held last month.

He says of his new role with Inman News, "We have a unique opportunity to be the voice of the real estate industry. I’m honored to be on the top team in real estate news and events. I’m constantly seeking the highest and best goals. Helping the Inman team grow is a perfect fit for me."

An experienced event developer, Fagioli said that he will play a role in helping the Inman News Real Estate Connect conference events to grow. Inman News holds two Real Estate Connect events per year: one in San Francisco and one in New York City — the next Real Estate Connect NYC event will run from Jan. 13-15, 2010.

Fagioli invites Inman News readers to follow him on Twitter (@mattfagioli) and to connect with him via his profiles on Facebook (Facebook.com/mattfagioli) and LinkedIn (LinkedIn.com/in/mattfagioli).

Prior to serving as broker for Diamond Dwellings, Fagioli worked as a Realtor at Keller Williams Atlanta Partners, and he earlier served as vice president of sales for The Tronex Group Inc., a component electronics firm.
