Brian Solis, a thought leader and published author in new media who is principal at Altimeter Group, a research-based advisory firm, gives his input about how to be smart about social media, and how to better know your customers. Solis, who was a keynote speaker at Real Estate Connect SF in July, is a big fan of common-sense marketing — going to where your customers are.

How can you do that in real estate? Brian shares a few tips.

He also discusses Google Plus, Facebook and other engagement strategies that real estate professionals need to be aware of, and his predictions for the future of these platforms.

You can find out more from Brian at www.BrianSolis.com, or on Twitter: @briansolis. Also, look for his new book, "The End of Business as Usual," coming out this September.
