The National Association of Real Estate Editors is accepting entries until March 1 for the group’s annual journalism competition for real estate and home and design writers and editors.

The contest, now in its 64th year, is open to entries published in daily newspapers; weekly business newspapers; trade, investment and shelter magazines; commercial real estate publications; wire services; television; radio; and websites.

The 25 contest categories include Best Blog, Best Column, Best Commercial Real Estate Report, Best Investigative Report or Investigative Series, Best Small Daily Newspaper Report, Best Mortgage or Financial Real Estate Report, Best Residential Real Estate Report, and Best Home & Design Feature.

Entry forms are available at www.NAREE.org under the “Journalism Contest” tab, and entries will be accepted online after Feb. 5.

Up to 75 winners will be announced and awards presented June 13 by NAREE Chairman Kris Hudson of the Wall Street Journal and President Daniel Taub of Bloomberg News at NAREE’s Annual Journalism Conference in Houston.

The competition is judged by faculty of E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University on clarity of writing, objectivity, originality, depth of reporting, and graphic design and production where applicable.
