Susan Feldman, co-founder and chief merchandising officer for online shopping marketplace One Kings Lane, knows a thing or two about what consumers really want.

After a career as a senior sales executive in the New York City fashion world, she moved to Los Angeles, where the challenges of finding the time, inspiration and guidance to decorate her new home inspired her to launch One Kings Lane. Since launching its first sale in March 2009, One Kings Lane has been on a steep upward trajectory, surpassing $100 million in annual revenue in 2011 and doubling that figure the next year.

Feldman talks to Inman News founder and Publisher Brad Inman about the lessons she learned building a whole new way to buy online.
