Housefax, maker of property history reports, is the latest vendor to partner with the Clareity Store, giving more than 100,000 brokers and agents deeper insight into homes they plan to list right from their multiple listing service dashboard without having to log in to a separate account.

More than 14 MLSs representing a total of more than 100,000 members have deployed the Clareity Store, an online marketplace launched by real estate tech firm Clareity Security in 2013. The Clareity Store brings vetted tech vendors into back-end MLS dashboards, streamlining their purchase and utilization by participating MLSs’ members.

Through the integration with the Clareity Store, Housefax is offering real estate pros discounts on two of its reports: its property history report and its insurance claims report. Another Housefax report, the preappraisal report, is not sold through the Clareity Store, but available from Housefax’s website.

Housefax’s property history report includes information on factors that may affect a property’s condition, such as building permits, fires, floods, sinkholes and meth labs, among other data, and its insurance claims report allows real estate professionals to discover home insurance claims made on a property in the past five years.

“Our goal is to make Housefax’s suite of reports easily accessible to busy real estate professionals who want to provide their clients with deep property history information and additional insights to make more informed buying or selling decisions,” said Gregg Larson, CEO of Clareity, in a statement.

Earlier this year, Clareity Security announced it had made a six-figure investment in Housefax to help tailor the firm’s offerings to real estate pros instead of only consumers. Larson currently sits on the firm’s board of directors.

Former realtor.com CEO Allan Dalton is helping to steer Housefax, which launched in 2002 and went nationwide in 2013.

The Clareity Store currently has approved more than 100 products from over 60 vendors, though the selection varies by market because MLSs choose which products to display.

In September, the National Association of Realtors joined the Clareity Store with its “NAR Portlet Project,” giving agents access to resources from their local association and tools from the trade association like Realtors Property Resource and a connection with NAR’s political action committee, RPAC.

The showing service Showing Suite joined the Clareity Store in February.
