If you haven’t heard yet, Bravo TV’s “Million Dollar Listing New York” is back for a fourth season, featuring intense competition between some of the biggest agents in the Big Apple: Fredrik Eklund, Ryan Serhant and Luis Ortiz. This is a dramatic, entertaining and, yes, sometimes even educational program that hundreds of thousands of agents around the country just can’t get enough of. We’re proud to showcase our interview with Ryan Serhant from the show for you.

Ryan is a self-made man: He didn’t come from money but knew how to make financial success happen in his life. I don’t think any of the show’s regular viewers will be surprised that he’s risen quickly to the top of the pile in the New York real estate scene. Serhant is astute and knowledgeable about real estate — but more than that, he knows people and how to make the deals happen. That’s critical for success in any industry, but especially important in real estate, and particularly in an ultracompetitive market such as New York.

I have to admit that Julie and I were a little star-struck to have him on our show, but that doesn’t mean we soft-pitched him on the interview questions. On our program, “Real Estate Coaching Radio,” we drilled down into this background, work habits, mental outlook and mindset — we even probed a bit for tips and tricks how he makes it happen.

Ryan Serhant on Real Estate Coaching Radio:

In our interview, Serhant wanted to make one point abundantly clear: He doesn’t get deals because he’s a celebrity. He works and works hard — he networks, markets himself and spends long hours ensuring that the deal comes together, and his clients are satisfied. That work ethic is what does it for him, and you can hear more about it by listening to the complete radio interview.
