Zumper report finds rent for one-bedroom units in Harlem, Lower East Side to be most affordable

Zumper recently examined the median rent prices for one-bedroom homes in Manhattan. Here are its findings:

  • Over the past year, rents for both one and two-bedroom units in New York City have each appreciated over 4 percent.
  • Manhattan’s most expensive neighborhoods to rent in were Nomad, Tribeca and Greenwich Village — all hovering above $4,000.
  • Priced at less than $2,800, more affordable areas included the Upper East Side, Lower East Side and East Harlem.
