Reporter

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

Cover entire spectrum of brokerage issues, including but not limited to, new business models, MLS and association issues, new developments online and with online companies. This reporter will be tapping into the industry to find the business issues that readers crave such as new online marketing strategies, technologies, etc.

Required skill set & experience:

• B.A. in Journalism or English
• At least 3 years reporting experience
• Experience in a breaking news environment
• Superior Web use/research skills
• Capacity to juggle priorities under tight deadlines
• An ironclad work ethic
• Ability to write clean copy and snappy headlines
• Familiarity with blogs and RSS
• Ability to recognize news stories and investigate new angles

The following are desirable:

• Experience at an online news Web site
• Business reporting experience
• Knowledge of blogging and Web publishing
• Knowledge of real estate and related issues a plus
