Overnight mortgage rates sink

Long-term mortgage interest rates were slightly lower Monday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield rose to 4.37 percent.

The 30-year fixed-rate average dipped to 5.6 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate fell to 4.89 percent. The 1-year adjustable was unchanged at 3.14 percent.

The 30-year Treasury bond yield increased to 5.2 percent.
