Michigan industrial deal tops $183 a square foot

A California-based private equity investment group has paid $19 million for the Cooper Standard Automotive Global Fluid Systems headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich.

The 103,822-square-foot industrial building, sold by an unidentified Midwestern investor, is located at 2110 Executive Hills Court on a 9.7-acre lot.

Constructed in 2002, the two-story property was remodeled and expanded in 2007 to suit the needs of the tenant, which, according to a press statement, is on a "long-term, triple-net lease in place with annual increases."

Dallas-area apartment complex sold

CWS Capital Partners recently closed on the sale of a 398-unit multifamily complex in Coppell, Texas, for an undisclosed price.

CNC Investments purchased the property -- Townlake of Coppell -- for an undisclosed amount free and clear of debt.

Situated on 17.5 acres at 215 North Moore Road, Townlake of Coppell features one-, two- and three-bedroom units averaging 882 square feet each. Community amenities include a clubhouse, playground, fitness center, basketball court, jogging trails, two swimming pools and covered parking.  more...

Northern California retail space fills up

Terranomics Retail Services recently negotiated the leasing of two retail centers in Newark and Sacramento, Calif., for an undisclosed price.

In the first deal, Mervyn's signed a long-term lease for an 82,000-square-foot retail building in Newark that is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. Mervyn's will be relocating from its existing site across the street at the Newpark Mall into the brand-new building on Mowry Avenue in the summer of 2008. The landlord is Toyama Partners.  more...
