$108 million Illinois industrial deal

Unidentified private investment groups recently sold a portfolio of 23 Chicago-area industrial properties for $108 million.

The properties, which total approximately 2 million square feet, comprise: a number of smaller buildings at Irving and Mannheim Roads in Schiller Park, Ill.; a fully leased, 377,000-square-foot, multitenant facility located at Arthur and Lively Boulevards in Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and a 309,000-square-foot, single-tenant distribution facility at 2401-2501 Lunt Ave.  more...

Small O.C. property sells for big price

Needleman Investments recently purchased a mixed-use office and retail center in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., for approximately $10.2 million.

Irvine-based Citivest sold the 25,561-square-foot property, which is located at 27184 Ortega Highway. Built in 1991, the two-story complex, Capistrano Collection, is situated on a 1.1-acre parcel.

At the time of sale, the asset was 87 percent by tenants that included Ortega Market & Deli, Charis Portraiture's, and skin care, sports medicine, dental, cleaning and storage tenants.

University Shopping Center sold

University Shopping Center in College Station, Texas, recently sold to a Houston-based investment company for an undisclosed price.

Tenant-in-common investors sold the property, which comprises approximately 170,000 square feet of retail space, to Principle Equity Management LP.

Built in 2002, the property at closing was 100 percent occupied by multiple tenants that included Ross Dress-For-Less, PETCO, Goody's, Hobby Lobby and Shoe Carnival. The center caters to the 46,000 students that attend Texas A&M University, which lies just a quarter mile away.  more...
