Chase Partners secures L.A. office investment

Chase Partners Ltd. this week announced it paid more than $43 million for a 250,000-square-foot office property in Torrance, Calif.

The class A building, Hamilton Place, is located at 20101 Hamilton Ave. Designed in the shape of a diamond, Hamilton Place includes an interior courtyard and a raised-floor computer room.

Although Toyota Motors recently vacated the three-story building in which it occupied the majority of space, Applied Signal Technologies has already signed to relocate to the facility for a long-term commitment, according to a press statement.  more...

N.J. industrial deal maximizes seller's ROI

A partnership formed by Prism Capital Partners LLC and Centurion Realty has purchased 82 Totowa Road in Wayne, N.J., for $15 million.

The 138,000-square-foot industrial building is set on 12 acres and includes 50,000 square feet of office space. The warehouse features 22-foot clear ceiling heights, 40-by-40-foot columns, six dock doors and two tail board loading areas.

East Meadow Corp. sold the property to take advantage of the opportunity-constrained northern New Jersey market.  more...

Hines REIT lands One Wilshire

Hines REIT this week announced it has acquired One Wilshire in Los Angeles' central business district for an undisclosed price.

One Wilshire is a 30-story building comprised of approximately 664,248 square feet of office and retail space with a five-level subterranean parking garage for 524 cars. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and opened in 1966, the property underwent a major renovation in 1992, consisting mostly of telecommunication networks upgrades.  more...
