Experienced agents have more, pricier listings

Real estate agents with more than five years of experience tend to represent higher-priced listings and spend more money marketing them than less experienced agents, according to a survey by VHT Inc., which provides marketing services to real estate professionals.

The survey of 1,300 agents and brokers revealed that those with two to five years of experience had listings in the $490,000 range, while the average value of listings for those with more than 10 years of experience was $600,000.  more...

Walgreens buys 8 stores nationwide

Retailer Walgreens Co. has purchased eight properties it currently occupies for a price of nearly $34.8 million.

The portfolio includes a 15,150-square-foot store in Hempstead, N.Y.; a 15,525-square-foot store in Sanford, Fla.; a 13,500-square-foot store in Colorado Springs, Colo.; a 13,905-square-foot store in Minneapolis; a 15,525-square-foot store in Ocala, Fla.; a 13,905-square-foot store in Denver; a 13,905-square-foot store in Lynn Haven, Fla.; and a 13,450-square-foot store in Niagara Falls, N.Y.  more...

Hampton Walk sold, renovations planned

Hampton Walk, a 370-unit multifamily community in New Castle, Del., recently sold for nearly $17.3 million.

Evergreen Realty Inc. purchased the asset from MPI Hampton Walk LLC at a price that represents $46,622 per unit.

Located at 1627 New Jersey Ave., the 264,200-square-foot community consists of 94 two-story buildings situated on a 16.65-acre lot, just off Dupont Highway.  more...

Waxahachie retail under new ownership

A 100,044-square-foot shopping center in Waxahachie, Texas, has changed hands for an undisclosed price.

The Marketplace at Waxahachie, located approximately 30 miles south of Dallas, is a class A, open-air retail center. The multitenant property is situated on an 11.4-acre lot at 791 North Highway 77.
