7 ERA offices rebrand in New Jersey

Burgdorff Realtors ERA offices in New Jersey are being rebranded or consolidated into existing Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices following a decision by parent company NRT LLC to merge the two companies' operations under a single banner.

Seven of 13 Burgdorff offices are being rebranded as Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and the remaining six Burgdorff offices will be consolidated into existing Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage locations in the same communities.  more...

Mediation proposed as foreclosure fix

The best hope for stemming the tide of foreclosures is for the federal government to back implementation of mandatory mediation programs at the state and local level, a report from the Center for American Progress argues.

More than 80 percent of homeowners at risk of losing their homes hadn't tried to work out alternatives to foreclosure with their loan servicers at the end of last year, authors Andrew Jakabovics and Alon Cohen maintain.  more...
