Home sales show third month of gains Premium Content

Existing-home sales rose for a third month in a row in June, and prices may stabilize in many areas by the end of the year if inventories continue to decline, the National Association of Realtors said today.

Sales of existing homes, including single-family, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops, rose 3.6 percent from May to June, to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.89 million units -- virtually the same as a year ago, NAR said.  more...

BofA marketing through brokerages

Bank of America Home Loans has entering into marketing agreements with national and regional real estate brokerages in which the lender pays for the right to provide tools to consumers, advertise its rates and products, and generate leads on the brokerages' Web sites.

The latest such deal, announced Wednesday, will put the "Bank of America Mortgage Center" on ZipRealty.com, allowing visitors to the site to research loan products, get preapproved, or apply for a mortgage online beginning in September.  more...
