Web 2.0 Woes Dan Fost

Web 2.0 Woes Dan Fost of the San Francisco Chronicle's "Tech Chronicles" asks whether the second generation of the dot-com bust has arrived. In an article titled "Deadpool 2.0," Fost notes that some companies -- while they "aren't quite dead yet," are "not exactly the picture of health, either" -- including TagWorld, Wallop, InsiderPages (see Inman News article), RawSugar, Browster, Mojungle, Jobster, Peerflix, Revver and Guba. A posting at the TechCrunch.com Web site states that InsiderPages, a site that allows consumer reviews on real estate agents and other businesses and professionals, has laid off some staff: "The news is coming from companies that are interviewing former InsiderPages employees." -Glenn Roberts Jr., Inman News
