Pat Combs, NAR President, announced

Pat Combs, NAR President, announced today the launch of the 2007 Public Awareness Campaign.

The campaign aims to drive business directly to Realtors with a new call-to-action, "Every market's different, call a Realtor today." The campaign speaks directly to today's home buyers and sellers to convince them that Realtors' expertise and experience are invaluable in the current real estate environment of increased inventories, stabilizing prices, and historically low interest rates.

The campaign opened with full-page advertisements in six leading newspapers -- Wall Street Journal and USA Today on Friday, the Washington Post on Saturday, and ran Sunday in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. It will run in the same newspapers again on the weekend of November 12. The campaign will begin airing nationally January 15 on network television. Radio will follow three weeks later.

This 2007 campaign marks the most extensive outreach effort since the Public Awareness Campaign began 10 years ago. Ads will be broadcast nationwide from January to November and will air more than 8,750 on national TV and radio and more than 25,000 times on local radio stations through a national buy.

So that's where all those NAR dues are going!

Details about the media plan and research results are available on the NAR website.
