When I first saw the application, it reminded me of Realtor biz cards.
That indeed is the total sum of Web 2.0 -- networking -- which is why it is perfectly suited for real estate.
Remember, Realtors have always been 24/7 networkers from the pix and phone number on their cards to handing you not one but several cards at a time to showing up at every civic function in town.
It is no wonder that saavy agents are jumping on the Web 2.0 bandwagon. Hyper networking.
It is not much different than how quickly they adopted Web lead programs in the early part of the decade (century). Of course, it was not all 1.4 mm of them, but there was a swarm of early adopters who learned the lead game and are now learning the new world of UGC (user generated content) and SN (social networking).
The real estate industry is way behind the tech curve, if you measure it by all 1.4mm Realtors but way ahead if you measure it by the 20k early adopters. ActiveRain and REliberation are proof of that.
