Some blog topics are oversaturated - not Real Estate

Kevin forwarded me a fine Seomoz article that explains why certain blog topics - politics, gadgets, sports, Apple, etc. -  are oversaturated and a new blogger will have a hard time breaking through the clutter with any independent voice, unless they are celeb or something. The article indirectly implies that real estate blogging is still in its infancy and there's a tangible opportunity to have your voice heard through a blog.
