The U.S. Patent office is going Web 2.0, putting not only patent apps up on the site but also publishing comments and ranking the comments.
Transparency, fantastic.
My recent experience with buying a home made me realize how arcane the real estate process continues to be and how much further we must go. Let me state that differently, the process is pathetic, more paper cuts than anyone should be forced to endure.
The resolution is rather simple, put all documentation on the Web and allow for digital signatures.
Several companies are competing in this space but none share their API or have created a simple API that the average Realtor could download to automate their transaction. Sharing is key to adoption.
