Fatdoor is (almost) open

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. -- Fatdoor.com, a "stealth mode venture backed company in downtown Palo Alto," will roll out on April 15. The company has a booth at the Drilling Down on Local '07 conference, an annual event that features discussions on local-search tech. The Fatdoor.com site is self-described as "a wikipedia of people," with over 130 million people and business profiles at launch. "Search and groups based on pre-seeded politics, religion, ethnicity, age, interests, etc." The site features "three-dimensional geo-spatial visualization of data" and user-generated community publications and "geo-spatial coupons."
It is already packed with national white pages and yellow pages information.
"The power of a few to affect millions," according to a company ad.
Fatdoor.com has some big backers: Bill Harris, former CEO of Paypal and Intuit, and Bertram Capital.
