Real Estate IS a Roller Coaster Ride

An enterprising bubble blogger has taken it upon themselves to plot historical US home prices as a roller coaster track using the game Roller Coaster Tycoon. You can watch the results below.

It's definitely a whole new perspective on housing prices (well, once the motion sickness wears off anyway) -- especially on that long climb up from 1997. The anticipation of what was coming next was definitely palpable. Is it going to be a nice 1960s flat section or scary 1980s like dip?

In either case it definitely made me want to see more charts virtualized as rides though!
