ActiveRain headed for Hitwise top 100

The ActiveRain Network continues its steady climb toward Hitwise's list of top 100 real estate sites. Down around 400th when the year began, ActiveRain keeps building traffic and was ranked 120th in April.

Pretty impressive for a site that's geared for industry pros, rather than consumers (Localism.com is ActiveRain's "consumer facing side").

When I checked in just now, ActiveRain reported it had 28,706 members, and 1,009 were online (see the handy counter in the upper right corner). My God, people, it's Friday night! Go out and have some fun!

ActiveRain's steady growth in membership was always impressive, but who knew they were generating that much traffic? Hitwise's top 100 is a good place to be, because those sites collectively grab about 70 percent of traffic in the category. More on April's RE Web site numbers Monday in Inman News.
