The Summer of Blog

Summer_of_love Forty years on from the Summer of Love, the summer of 2007 will likely go down as the year real estate blogging finally hit the mainstream.

So far this year, blogging has inspired a conference, get-togethers, a contest and even a cross-country RV trip. And now it's led to the creation of the first ever real estate blog-based book.

Greg Swann and rest of the Bloodhound Gang have just released Real Estate Weblogging 101; a guide that has grown out of a collection of BloodhoundBlog posts written over the last year, that have now been compiled into a single volume.

The decision to release the material as a standalone blog is an interesting and logical choice and especially relevant considering the subject matter it deals with. It allows the "book" (or should it be called a "blook"...?) to grow organically and reflect the comments or criticisms of the readership. Chapters and articles can be amended, revised and even linked together in such a way that it doesn't need to be read from cover to cover.

An electronic how-to guide won't be for everyone however, so for those of you interested in real estate blogging and want a paper-based alternative, Realty Blogging may be just what you're looking for.
