Every day I get in the queue (Too much, Magic Bus)

To get on the bus that takes me to you (Too much, Magic Bus)

I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile (Too much, Magic Bus)

Your house is only another mile (Too much, Magic Bus)

-- "Magic Bus" lyrics, Pete Townshend.

Real estate agents and brokers in several markets across the country are offering free bus tours of REOs and other bargain properties to entice home hunters to buy. Sounds like wheeling and dealing, in a very literal sense. (See Inman News article). A RE/MAX company in Las Vegas bought a 40-seat luxury coach and offers Spanish-language and Chinese-language tours of REO and builder-discounted properties, and a free meal. It's an example of entrepreneurship and opportunity in a battered market -- or at least proof that there is still such a thing as a free lunch.

I would rather see a lower key used...these are neighborhoods, not sight seeing tours. Let's get real and not make this a 3 ring circus.

Do the job and let's get on with selling real estate.

Just my humble opinion....love the 60's though

Yes. I think there is a professional way to meet the needs of the buyers just as much as a loud and obnoxious way.

We haven't seen any of these tours in the Reno real estate market yet, but they may pop up soon.

I think about half of this is on the fringe of morbid curiosity - "What do these houses REALLY look like?" - most of them are just like yours and mine.
