The term "addiction" is used in many contexts to describe an obsession, compulsion, or excessive physical dependence or psychological dependence.

Mike, since it was Congress that killed seller-funded DPA in July with the passage of HR 3221, The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, Donovan can't bring it back -- only Congress can. A bill that would have restored a more limited seller funded DPA program, HR 6694, never made it to a vote (see story).Submitted by Jill Black on December 23, 2008 - 12:53am.
I hope Obama and team can fix some of the lending issues. Although rates are low they are not low for investors or multifamily properties (unlike the low rates in 03/04). Until that changes I think we are going to see a lot more foreclosures

It will be interesting to watch and see what changes they attempt to implement. Lower rates and perhaps some tax credits as incentives would be a start.
