The first home online

Who was the first person to post a for-sale home listing on the Internet? Inman News Publisher Brad Inman (@BradInman) posed the question in a Twitter post (click to read) today. If you know who it is, tell us. We would like to profile this individual and learn about the inspiration for this first-ever feat. (And did the home sell?)

I believe Arthur Sterbcow, president of Latter & Blum Inc. Realtors in New Orleans, was among the first - if not the first - to post a for-sale home listing on the Internet back in August of 1988. He said people actually yelled and screamed at him for "misusing" the Internet for commercial purposes. Clearly, he was a little ahead of everyone!

Internet provides us online applications one of which is networking. We can purchase, bid, and advertise certain product through World Wide Web. Everything is just a click away. Just like buying bactrim online. Did you know that Get Paid To Click, like some advertisements, can get you a penny or two for every website you click on. This isn't something you can get a lot of money out of – you can only click on so many ads or referrals for a fraction of a penny, but some extra cash for the Laundromat. Pay per click websites require you to register, and you'll have to get a minimum amount before you'll get paid out.You may not make much with get paid to click sites, but you CAN with affiliate marketing.

Oh this is really a great idea those who wants to purchase the home online, and all facilities has been available online by purchasing your dream house. You can purchase the dream of your house abroad also, but you should be aware of the law and regulation also.

Homes & Land was an early player in online listings. In 1993 we used our network of magazine publishers to create perhaps the first national database of homes. The listings were posted on Prodigy. You can see examples of the promotional material on our blog: www.thinkhomesandland.com.

Although the national rollout took place in 1993, there was research and experimentation priot to that. We are confident that we posted online listings as early as 1992, but alas, we have not turned up any solid supporting evidence. (Who knew it would be so important?) Take a look at the blog. A lot sure has changed.
