Alisha Alway Braatz

Ask a Question

Alisha Alway Braatz is a buyer's broker with Coldwell Banker Advantage One Properties in Eugene, Ore. She graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Advertising and Creative Writing. She really, really wanted to have Miami Herald humor columnist Dave Barry's job, but apparently there were already too many journalists writing about exploding squirrels. While that job was taken, she still mixes humor into her columns -- she has performed as a comedian and wrote a weekly humor column in the real estate section of her hometown newspaper in Bend, Ore. She traveled the world and pretended to be a competent nanny in Italy before returning to the U.S. and begrudgingly earning her real estate license in the best-market-ever-in-a-million-years. (Begrudgingly, because her father is a homebuilder and “real estate” was the last thing on earth she would actually consider as a career. That, and she would never, ever marry a builder. So, it wasn’t long before she was a broker and had married a general contractor who drove a large red pickup truck.) Alisha can’t deny she loves new construction -- the process, the design, and the products. She is thrilled to educate homebuyers about the construction of a house and help them navigate the home selection process. She has written for the Bend Bulletin, Lake Oswego Review, and has been quoted in the Oregonian newspaper. She doesn’t have a TV Show ... yet.
