Getting into the property management business

I am a long term agent performing property management services, I see more and more agents getting into the business with the sales market down. My concern is that these individuals are not educated in this field and causing havoc. what is your feeling?

Amen to that!
The slow down in the overall market has tempted lots of agents toward property management as supplimental income. We welcome new agents into the property management field, but it is a full time 24/7 position. It is critical agents, get the proper education on the laws and the market. Plus they need to be able to educate their clients as well. Too many clients and agents as well still think property management is a mom and pop business and that view point will only get you into trouble.
Property management is not for the faint hearted.

I agree that is why hopefully your local chapter of NARPM is working hard to get the education out to those people needing it. Also getting the message out to the public that they should be using a NARPM member. www.gahomerentals.com
