Business books for the whole real estate team

There are only so many original thoughts a team leader can come up with to motivate, inspire, and lead a real estate team to a higher level of production. I would encourage growing teams to add reading the same book as a group each and every month.

Since so many of us have been transformed into only “headline reading consumers” try to pick books that can be read in 3-4 hours. This will ensure each member will finish the selected book on schedule. If you attempt larger books like Shift by Gary Keller cover 1-2 chapters every Friday and then really dive into each agent’s interpretation of the selected reading.

There are limitless selections to choose from in the world of business books. This year as a real estate team we read some great books. Some that changed my staff’s outlook on business, the market, and their personal lives.

Please enjoy the list of some of our top books this year:

1. Seth Godin’s “The Dip” a short read designed to help people decide when to quit and when to persevere.

2. Joe Calloway’s “Work like your showing off” One of the best business books ever written. A easy read that inspires everyone to give 100%.

3. Jones Loflin & Todd Musig’s “Juggling Elephants” a great time blocking book that will help you team organize priorities.

4. Gary Keller’s “Shift” a great book that starts with the most important tactic that we need in this market, Mindset!! The book continues to speak about the 12 things tough agents must do to beat this crazy market.

5. Marshall Goldsmiths’s “What got you here won’t get you there” My personal motto on life. If we were doing the right things now we would already of hit our goals!

Please use the list above to motivate your team and get everyone working on the same goal. I would love some additional recommendations from our group.

Ben, This was great. The funny thing is.. I read this and THEN noticed that it was you who wrote it. I could have sworn it was written by someone with more experience than me :)
