The old 1% rule

Many years ago, real estate investors used the 1% rule. If the monthly rent was 1% of your purchase price for the home it was a good investment. This old rule has application in this environment too.

Today's real estate investment software take far more variables into consideration, but at the end of the day, the 1% rule comes very close to being a good measurement.
