Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa I attended boarding school at Pretoria Boy's High and at Haileybury College in Hertfordshire, England.
I became an advertising film and TV producer in JHB and in 1986 I moved to Toronto, Canada seeking a safe country in which to raise my two sons. My new company, Mistral Films was a quick success.
In 1994 my wife, Rosie and I decided to take a year off and travel to various parts of the world. Rosie owned a very successful film production company with studios in Canada and the USA.
Our first stop was Hilton Head Island. After extending our initial three month stay, we made the move permanent. While waiting for "green cards" we began dabbling in real estate and obtained SC real estate licenses.
Within a few years I had become a successful real estate agent, with RE/MAX Island Realty. I work with Sellers, helping them maximize the return on their investment and I help Buyers find the ideal home, villa or land and then get it for the best price, at the best terms possible.
We live with our dogs, (currently Jesse-James a Goldendoodle), in Sea Pines Plantation in a gorgeously renovated (Rosie's vision and my perspiration) home looking over the tidal creeks, marshes and Calibogue Sound all the way to Daufuskie Island. Our four grown children either live on the island or visit regularly, from Canada.
We have invested consistently in Hilton Head real estate and currently own a villa, which is rented long term and two oceanfront investment homes in North Forest Beach. We personally manage both as short term rental vacation homes.
It is my privilege and joy as a Realtor to bring all my personal experiences to bear and to help others make the dream of living on Hilton Head Island, or in the surrounding areas of the Low Country, come true.
The focus of my life is real estate and a part of my life experience and real estate education matches a part of each of my clients' life experience and expectation.
I have just completed the education requirements to receive the SFR Certification, which is endorsed by the National Association of Realtors. This critical education gives me more tools with which to help my clients with Short Sale and Foreclosure situations.
I am uniquely qualified to help and to serve every client with their Low Country real estate needs. I am committed to do so with integrity, honesty and to the best of my ability. That is why my motto is; "It's About Trust".
