Bill Cummings is the Director of Online Real Estate Advertising Sales for Freedom Interactive, a division of Freedom Communications. He oversees the Real Estate category for interactive at Freedom’s 33 daily and 77 weekly newspapers, including the Orange County Register. Prior to joining Freedom, he was the Director of Real Estate Advertising for the Denver Newspaper Agency, publishers of The Denver Post (owned by Media News Group) & Rocky Mountain News (owned by Scripps). At the Agency he was responsible for print, online and niche publications including Real Estate Showcase for Colorado. Prior to joining the Agency, he was the Real Estate Sales Manager for The Fresno Bee, a McClatchy Newspaper. During his time at the Bee, he led his team to year-over-year growth in revenue. In 2006 his department was 44% ahead of prior year. Prior to joining the Newspaper Industry, he was the principle of one of Central California’s larger ad agencies, and also spent two years as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for London Properties, a large independent Real Estate Firm. Cummings was selected as a Future Leader by the Newspaper Association of America in 2006. His ability to create successful niche publications earned him a 2007 ACME Award from the NAA, as well as awards from the WCAA (Western Classified Advertising Association). He is often a featured speaker for the NAA Real Estate conferences, National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors as well as leading Real Estate Offices in Colorado. Most recently he was appointed to the Sales & Marketing Committee of the Home Builder’s Association of Denver.
