"This is not simply about a glitch in paperwork," Miller said. "It's also about some companies violating the law and many people losing their homes." No its about homeowners not paying their mortgages and hiring attorneys to create delay tactics to delay the free market practice. Let's call it what it really is, attorneys looking for defects to delay a process or force a loan modification. If the true root is the homeowner has failed to pay their mortgage, the end result should be the same.

Maybe its time we investigate all of these "attorney generals" who are wasting the taxpayer money to pander for votes. I still dont see where a home was foreclosed on that the homeowner was paying the payments (I am referring to these robo signing instances, not ever). We can't get to a road to recovery with all of this propoganda to get votes. I find it interesting Jerry Brown came out day 1 calling for a mortatorium when the issues didnt even apply to his state which is primarily Non Judicial Foreclosure. I for one feel if the homeowner was not making payments it was a foreclosure, IF the lender(s) mistated a form that was otherwise legit, these are all just political ploys and it does nothing for the American Homeowner. What this administration has done is make "the government will take care of you" their mission statement so the portion of homeowners who really should be benefitting from loan modifications are bundled so deep in a mess of "I Wannas" that they cannot be helped. The government knows a large segment of these homeowners cannot qualify or ever did qualify to pay their mortgage but these "delay and pray" tactics only breed a behavior of "someone has harmed me" instead of self responsibility. The next 3 weeks will only be more examples of bad politicians using the foreclosure mess that they helped create as political vote getters. Is it a wonder the default rate on FHA loans is increasing to double digits, does this mean FHA is mad program? No it means you (the government) took responsibility for homeowners who could not pay their bills and further damaged our recovery. Bruce Slaton eCurb Realty Sacramento, CA

I find it interesting that all of the articles from the media fail to mention why only 23 states, BECAUSE they are judicial foreclosure states of which CA is not one of them. And let's get to the core of this, these seem to be paperwork issues, I've yet to hear of a homeowner who was paying their mortgage being foreclosed on (in this instance) I know ther have been several cases here and there before but thats not the case here.
