Well said Matt. I call this the Photoshop conundrum. If all you want to do is crop an image, Photoshop is a total pain to work with due to the myriad tools, filters and choices it offers. However, if you need to do a lot of work with images, Photoshop is a wonderful and powerful application. Internet apps have to try to be all things to all people and some people are simple users and others are power users. Finding that balance between elegant simplicity and a powerful set of options is the toughest part of designing an Internet application yet one of the most useful. Well apparently that same bus runs in real estate technology neighborhoods too. Have had this article up on one of my browser tabs since it came out and it just got read today. Poor Dale is also paused in another browser tab and my CEO just came over to debrief me about NAR - gotta go. It's great to relate with you Kris! Very well said Kris. I'm in the tech business but have also witnessed some very successful agents in my neighborhood who I can't find on Twitter or Facebook and who have a very meager web presence. Even the kings and queens of real estate technology have been saying that their online presence is there to make it easier to eventually meet people they connect with online in person and then become clients. For those agents who have their fill of clients already, they don't need to be tech superstars anytime soon. Of course if they would still like more clients there are a lot of ways technology can facilitate that too. Chris Freeman Chief Technology Officer WOLFNET www.wolfnet.com
