I started working in property in 2000, when I started TheMoveChannel.com. I was buying my first property at the time, and being a relative youngster, didn’t really have much of a clue what I was doing. At the time, the internet wasn’t much of a help, so I set about pulling together the information and useful resources that I could find to launch my website.

10 years on and I have crammed a huge amount of experience into my career. I have helped thousands of agents and developers around the world to bring all kinds of property to market: lifestyle resort property, UK buy to let, fractional ownership, condo hotels, speculative land subdivisions – even some hotels, funds and alternative investments. Over the years, this has given me a fascinating insight into the fundamentals factors that underpin property investments, as well as a lot of experience in due diligence, project analysis and of course promotion.

On a personal level, I have invested in quite a number of different projects in the UK and overseas, from which I have learned, earned and been burned in roughly equal measure.
Successful property investing is not easy, but there’s no substitute for knowledge when it comes to taking away some of the risks. The more you know, the fewer mistakes you make and in this game, mistakes can be costly!
