Twitter is BEST at finding new and interesting people that you don't already know, and then keeping in touch. I won't friend you on Facebook if I haven't met you and probably won't LinkIn if I'm not somewhat familiar with you. With Twitter? Just say hi or RT, and I'm there. I'm following you. I think it's OK to say your "strategy" is to be engaging, resourceful, and present with your community (whether it be business community or otherwise). It's always been a "strategy" to aggressively hit the event, mixer and cocktail party circuit to meet new people and network with friends. Why is this different?
