Real Estate Broker, Innovator and Entrepreneur. I've had the pleasure of being involved in the real estate industry for over 25 years. From creating an International Relocation Company located in London,(UK) to establishing a lead generation and marketing company in the states and finally my current venture for the past 10 years, America-at-Home Real Estate. I like to do things a little differently by nature. Traditional real estate made me feel stuck, working within someone else's rules. I believe real estate transactions need the flexibility to be creative and flow with the current market and not just one way. I established America-at-Home Real Estate in early 2000 to offer sellers and buyers more choices with an A' la Carte menu and flat fees for services. Today, even in this current (2009) crisis market we are surviving because we are a "Cash Flow" company and not just a commission based company. I believe that real estate services in the future will be more like attorney services. The consumer pays for what they need and nothing else. My theory is being played out more and more today as consumers demand less charges for services. My goal is to license my company across the country where we can finally offer the public what they want and have been waiting for.

  • Buyers and Sellers are much
    By Diane WebsterJune 1, 2009 - 9:55am

Buyers and Sellers are much more sophisticated than traditional agents think they are. Anyone can buy or sell a home online with all the benefits a Realtor offers if they know where to look. Our company has been offering a' la carte services for 9 years now and after literally hundreds of transactions, few are unsuccessful. We license our brokerage model across the nation so that consumers in all markets can buy what they need and not be obliged to pay $20,000, $30,000, $50,000 and more to sell their home. Realtors create an instant cash flow without wasting a lot of time and consumers not only are learning and extremely happy but they become repeat customers and refer all of their friends. It's definitely the way of the future. Diane Webster Broker/Owner America-at-Home Real Estate "The Do It Yourself Real Estate Company" http://www.america-at-home.com 800-693-5186

  • This is one of the reasons I
    By Diane WebsterMay 29, 2009 - 10:12am

This is one of the reasons I have always owned my own company. Brokerages are in control of your business if you don't own it. Realtors, need to take a hard look at ways to work together without the Large Corporate Company behind them. After all whose reputation are you building? Your's or the company? Consumers work with agents they like and not the company. Think about it....what does the company have that you can't get yourself? It's not computer access, receptionists to take your calls, Print advertising or even Internet advertising. Is it huge corporate websites....No! You are the reason you help buyers and sellers with their real estate needs not your company. Why pay franchise fees, transaction fees, split commissions, high desk fees, administrative and other junk fees. Go out on your own and make it happen. You'll make more money and work less. I'm a Flat Fee/A'la Carte Internet Broker, in business for over 20 years, there is nothing like owning your own company. If I can help you or encourage you give me a call.
