The commission model has the advantage of the client only paying when a transaction takes place - they pay for success. The commission they pay also pays you for the lost time and money you poured into clients that did not transact. The good clients pay for the bad clients. Do we have an obligation to spend time with anyone that asks us for help? I wonder sometimes if we actually qualify new clients at all (or well enough), or if we see them as a ticket we'll buy, even though it may or may not pay. I wonder if that's fair to the good clients. Just a thought. Don Stewart don@agentinvitation.com

Realtors spend too much money funding organizations and activities over which they have little control or influence. The true interested parties in real estate are the buyers/sellers and the agents - lets keep the funding of everyone else to a minimum, on an as needed basis. Stop and think about how much you spend, to whom, and what you get for it that actually helps you do your job. Don Stewart don@agentinvitation.com

There is dignity in work. Period. Full time or part time - those hard choices are influenced by your personal circumstances, local market and outlook. We all need to do what is best for ourselves and our family without worrying too much about what others think. Isn't that what we tell our kids?
