Judy and Mike- If you already have all the data on your own site, then yes, there's no reason to link out to someone else. However, that means you maintain that content and have to keep it consistently fresh and accurate for your audience; there is very real cost (your time and energy) to doing that. I'm not recommending either strategy, but that you think through the trade off you are making by choosing to create and maintain that content yourself.
