I am a uniquely positive person who enjoys learning new marketing techniqes and strategies that I can share that with others! I've been in and around mortgage lending all of my life! I work with my husband as a team, and we offer traditional and government financing in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, NC). We live in Cary with our children, and our Japanese Chin, Lucky. We see our customers at Church, First United Methodist, PTA, Business Alliance at the School and the YMCA.

I also work on a consulting basis for agents and Brokerages that want help establishing their online presence. Because of my advanced age, my experience in Social Media Marketing, and the work I do with REBarCamp Education - I've been able to help many agents and companies that didn't know where to start develop a plan and IMPLEMENT that plan for them if they didn't want to dedicate the hours required!

Eleanor Thorne Cary Mortgage Loans 919-459-1313 I agree with most of these points - and would add the following points for consideration... if a Real Estate Agent has to complete 91 hours of classwork - would you be surprised to learn that mortgage brokers have less than HALF of that in required class time? On a National Level we are seeing advanced Mortgage Lender reform, however the PROBLEM continues to remain that BANK loan officers are exempt from ALL training. Secondly, the problem I see in a NATIONAL MLS system is the reduction in local involvement of the political process. Our local board is critical in pushing issues like Public School reform - and local candidates. I would hate to see that important role diminished.

Creating the list is often easier than carving out the time. Thanks for the reminder!
