Today a world without twitter is unimaginable. If you did not see it as an "event" I would think you were locked in a box somewhere. Twitter is impacting not only real estate but just about everything as people connect everyday with conversations of not more than 140 characters in length. It is a blessing and a tool better than writing on cave walls...centuries ago! It is changing how I practice real estate and communicate. I confess, I love twitter. It is truly a gift from the technology gods. Teresa is right on target. In today's online world of real estate it is important to know how you are seen and/or portrayed on google. A weekly search with your name in quotes will give you a good report of what happens when others search for you. A google alert on yourself or your company is an easy way to stay ahead of yourself online. By the way, search your name and company on google images too. Today, like our buyers and sellers, our reputation is on the line online. Emily Medvec, Broker Prudential Santa Fe Real Estate www.emilymedvec.com www.buysantafehomes.com www.twitter.com/EmilyMedvec

Santa Fe, New Mexico real estate landscape now has good number of short sales, foreclosures and bank owned homes as well as a lot less Realtors. You are on target in pointing out new business opportunities as alternative to waiting for "recovery". It is certainly time to adapt, innovate, think out of the box and stop doing what is not working. Real estate as we knew it when 2008 began has shifted into the brave new world of real estate for Realtors in 2009.
