I attended the Inman News Agent Reboot event in Seattle on Wednesday and Sherry Chris, CEO of the Better Homes and Garden listing service, made the apt statement that we should not be waiting for a recovery, THIS is the new reality in the industry." Your view of household decision makers getting fed up with public finances and taxes will be (and is) reflected in a new ethic of financial conservatism in every aspect of home budgets. RE businesses that cannot adapt to the new economic reality by providing value for their fees are going to struggle. This means both internal desk fees and public-facing commission structures.     Thanks Theresa, I have been on the fence about the iPad . . . I know it has great potential for my business but I haven't had a chance to study it closely. Your article and the comments are persuasive. My remaining question is whether Apple will roll-out a new generation of the product in response to comments about the initial release. Fielding E.
