Welcome!

Thank you for making me laugh first thing this morning Kris (not an easy thing to do) :)
I'm with you Teresa...we're moving the request for the lone piece of personal information, an email address, from the front of our application to the results page, only requiring such if the consumer wants to be emailed information. In my experience, most consumers/voyeurs will game the gatekeeper, providing false info or leaving the site before they give up personal info... Giving unfettered access won't increase 'captured information', but the overall quality of who contacts you rises substantially, since they are far more interested in becoming clients rather than a drip in a marketing campaign.
For what its worth, we will never sell leads, that's not our business model...however, this is a business and we do charge money for providing a product of value...there are costs associated with offering this type of application. RateSpeed is articulately designed to deliver the highest levels of transparency to the consumer and assist the mortgage professional by differentiating themselves from the ocean of ambiguity that envelopes the mortgage industry. This is actually quite an effective efficiency tool for the mortgage professional as well, since it aggregates all of their lenders pricing data into one place. We charge a very reasonable one time set-up cost and a flat monthly hosting fee to the mortgage broker or banker. If YSP should be disclosed is not a matter for opinion, its black letter RESPA law. We hope to help consumers better understand their choices when it comes to acquiring a mortgage while leaving the licensed mortgage professional square in the middle of the transaction to deliver the service, advice and experience required to close the loan.
