    Dian, Thanks for this informative, article... In our area of Panama City Beach, the only time buyers are allowed/recommended a "stay in" to a property is when we are working with "Condotels". Since "condotels" are on a rental program of one sort or another, often buyers want to stay for a few days to get a "feel" for their new vacation home. In the recent past, I've had borrowers who watched a TV show where potential buyers were allowed to "live in" a home before purchasing and want to the same courtesy. Needless to say, we put the "kibosh" on that very quickly.     Bernice, I agree with you completely and thank you for pointing out the many ways agents can focus on new and other business opportunities. Unfortunately, it is a sign of our times that there are so many short sale listings on the market today. While short sales are not a large part of my inventory, I do my best to help those who find themselves in the short sale position. By utilizing a short sale negotiator helps to reduce the time I spend on working these listings with the lenders and allows me to focus on marketing the listings and getting them sold. Best wishes...
