I am a partner in a nicely sized Remax agency on the border of Idaho and Oregon. We are a rural area 1 hour nw of Boise. In our area everybody does everything we all sell the whole gamut of real estate from scraper houses to new homes to farms to commercial.

I have fun with this one. Our little rural area was a free zone during WW2 so the Japanese-Americans were allowed to move here instead of being in the internment camps - we have a long history of tolerance (not everybody -like any place we have our share of bigots). We have a large museum here that is focused on the wide variety of people who have come here. The museum was paid for from the War Reparations Act where the government paid a "we're sorry" fee to the Japanese American citizens who were wronged by the governments actions. The Japanese Americans in our area insisted that the money be spent to honor all of the areas cultural mix. Sooooo depending on the person asking the no no question I give them the 10 minute or the 20 minute version of all this. And these questions NEVER come up again.

You are so right. I fought texting for a long time "why type stuff out when I can talk?" But it's fast easier and more convenient than a vocal conversation especially when you are just imparting information. I'm kicking myself for waitng so long. And there's no need to play phone tag when I can do a quick update for family on Facebook. We can actually be more connected - it's like a conference call! lol

  • Tara-Nicholle, you are RIGHT

Tara-Nicholle, you are RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT! That's what all the techno people have been missing. You can tell when you watch them speak that they really don't understand why the 2.0 stuff doesn't work the way they logicallly think it should.
